El Presidente

Sergio Jadue heads Unión La Calera, a modest club in Chile, when his career takes an unexpected turn toward the top of Chilean soccer. Ambitious and with little experience in the corridors of power, he starts gaining influence at the ANFP and grows close to Julio Grondona, the powerful president of the Argentine Football Association, who takes him under his wing. The story unfolds around the 2015 FIFA scandal, with settings ranging from Santiago to Buenos Aires and Luque, where CONMEBOL hands out posts and favors in hotels and discreet meetings. Jadue wants to establish himself among South American officials, but every step brings him closer to a web of bribes that spreads throughout the region. The series, created by Armando Bó and streaming on Amazon Prime Video, stars Andrés Parra.
