Andrés Parra plays Hugo Chávez, a man of humble origins who, at just 44 years old and against all odds, becomes the most powerful and controversial leader in Latin America. Created by Venezuelan writer Moisés Naím and aired on RCN Televisión, the series follows the rise of a politician who comes to control the largest oil reserves on the planet and who shakes the continent like no one else. The story blends real events with fictional characters: the comrades who fight by his side, the spies who want to end his life, the women who stand by him and the members of the opposition. With these elements, the plot moves between suspense, action, politics and romance, and power and confrontation shape every decision the protagonist makes.
