What Season 5 of Modern Family

Season five kicks off in the middle of summer, with the families scattered across summer camps, beaches and volunteer trips. Claire and Phil try to line up their schedules to get one week without the kids. Jay and Gloria are getting Manny ready for his first trip to Colombia on his own, while Mitchell and Cameron face the planning of their wedding, arguing over every detail. Changes in routine, such as new schools, new jobs and a new babysitter, force everyone to adapt. Relationships between parents and children remain the engine of every story, and Phil, with his rival Gil Thorpe, is one of the characters who gets tangled up the most.
