In February 1961, Llewyn Davis is a folk singer trying to make it in Greenwich Village, New York. He used to be a merchant seaman, but now all his energy goes into music. His solo album, Inside Llewyn Davis, isn't selling, and he has no money and no fixed place to sleep. He spends his nights on the sofas of friends and acquaintances while looking for a way to get someone to notice his work. Directed by the Coen brothers and starring Oscar Isaac, the film follows a man who has lost nearly everything and who insists on playing every night, even though no one seems to be listening.

If it was never new, and it never gets old, then it's a folk song.
