The months following the 1972 Munich massacre set the story in motion. Avner Kaufman, a young Mossad agent of German-Jewish origin, is chosen to lead a secret mission. His goal is to track down and assassinate eleven Palestinians, some of them members of Black September, responsible for the deaths of the eleven members of the Israeli Olympic team. His contact, Ephraim, demands an operation that will allow the Israeli government to deny any involvement. To carry it out, Avner must leave behind his pregnant wife and adopt a different identity. He accepts the assignment and begins planning every step with a small team of trusted men, all aware that any mistake will expose them.
