Joe Merriweather is a veteran FBI detective who gets a horrifying case: several people have been brutally murdered, and there are few clues to reveal who the killer might be. To try to solve it, he works alongside his ambitious partner, Agent Katherine Cowles. But, unable to make progress, both of them end up turning to Dr. Clancy, a reclusive, retired specialist doctor who withdrew from the world after his daughter's death. Clancy also has an extraordinary gift: he has visions that could be key to tracking down the criminal. However, he soon discovers that he is not the only one with powers and that he will have to deal with those of the elusive killer.
