Synopsis of Extant

Molly Woods (Halle Berry) is an astronaut with the ISEA agency who, after spending thirteen months on a solo mission aboard the Seraphim space station, returns home to her husband, John, a robotics engineer. Their son Ethan is no ordinary boy: he is a prototype android, a "humanich," created by John as part of a project to build robots with human appearance. Upon returning, Molly discovers she is pregnant despite years of infertility and begins searching for answers about what happened during her absence. Created by Mickey Fisher and aired on CBS, the series follows her attempt to understand this pregnancy while trying to reconnect with a family she has barely heard from in a year.
