Can You Survive the 5th Wave?

Cassie Sullivan is a high school student from Ohio living in a world devastated by an alien invasion. Armed with an M4 rifle, she leaves the forest intending to loot an abandoned gas station. Inside, she hears a voice asking for help. She finds a wounded man who points a gun at her, and the two demand that each other lower their weapons. Cassie has a priority that goes beyond this encounter: finding her younger brother. The film follows her as she tries to survive in a hostile environment full of strangers without letting her guard down. Directed by J Blakeson, it stars Chloë Grace Moretz.

Three months after filming began, a planned bus explosion went wrong. It shattered more than forty windows in downtown Macon, set a building on fire, and left soot on the brick facades.
The movie grossed $111 million worldwide, of which $35 million came from North America and $76 million from other territories, against a production budget of $54 million.
In its first weekend in North America, it earned $10.3 million and placed sixth at the box office.
Chloë Grace Moretz appeared on the cover of Marie Claire's February 2016 issue, aimed at teen readers, to promote the movie.
