A Quixote Like You've Never Imagined

Toby is an advertising director working in the Spanish countryside. His shoot for a commercial featuring Don Quixote and Sancho Panza isn't going well, and after a failed day, the job seems increasingly likely to fall apart. Toby wants to finish the ad and get the job done, but he runs into an elderly shoemaker from the area who is convinced he is the Knight of the Sorrowful Face. To him, Toby isn't an ad man but his loyal squire, Sancho Panza. The outsider tries to keep working while the old man insists he play a part in his own fantasy. This is the premise of the film, directed by Terry Gilliam, with Adam Driver as Toby and Jonathan Pryce as the shoemaker.

Trivia about The Man Who Killed Don Quixote

On the first day of shooting, F-16 fighter jets repeatedly flew over the area and ruined the audio recording.
The production's insurance did not cover the damage from the flood that swept away much of the crew, as was confirmed during the shoot of 2000.
After the cancellation, a claim was filed with the insurer, and reportedly 15 million dollars was paid out; the screenplay rights passed to the insurers.
Cinematographer Nicola Pecorini said at the time that in 22 years in the business he had never seen so much bad luck pile up.
