Lawrence Talbot's childhood came to an abrupt end the night his mother died. He left his hometown, Blackmoor, and spent decades recovering and trying to forget. When Gwen Conliffe, his brother's fiancée, finds him and begs him to help her search for her missing love, Lawrence Talbot returns home. There he learns that something brutal and savage, with an insatiable thirst for blood, has killed many peasants. He begins to piece together the bloody puzzle and discovers an ancient curse that turns its victims into werewolves on nights of the full moon. To end the carnage and protect the woman he has fallen in love with, Lawrence Talbot must destroy the fearsome creature hiding in the forests near Blackmoor. This simple man with a painful past sets out to hunt the beast and discovers that he too has a primitive side he could never have imagined.
