ALF

A small alien named Gordon Shumway, from the planet Melmac, crash-lands his spaceship in the garage of the Tanners, a middle-class family living in the San Fernando Valley in California. Willie, a social worker, and his wife Kate, along with their children Lynn and Brian, decide to hide him after nicknaming him ALF. They keep him away from the U.S. Army's Alien Task Force and their nosy neighbors, the Ochmoneks, while ALF repairs his ship. His culture clash, survivor's guilt and loneliness make living together difficult, and the family fears someone will discover his existence. Created by Paul Fusco and Tom Patchett, the series aired on NBC and starred Max Wright and Anne Schedeen.
