Synopsis of Baby

Baby is an Italian drama series created by Andrea De Sica and other writers, streaming on Netflix. Chiara Altieri is a rich, beautiful student at Collodi, an elite high school in Rome, who is fed up with the privileged life she leads. One day she meets Ludovica Storti, a lonely, impulsive classmate who always secretly needs money. Ludovica introduces her to the world of prostitution, and the two begin moving between two realities that no one in their circle knows about. Benedetta Porcaroli and Alice Pagani play Chiara and Ludovica. The story is inspired by a real scandal that took place in Rome.

Trivia about Baby

The series is inspired by the Parioli scandal, known in Italy as 'baby squillo', in which two teenagers from wealthy Roman families were involved in a case of child prostitution.
Before its release, the National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE), based in the United States, called for the series to be suspended.
Netflix announced the project on November 15, 2017 as its second Italian series, about teen prostitution in Rome.
Netflix announced the renewal of the series for a third and final season on November 13, 2019.
Antonio Le Fosse, a member of the Grams collective that created the series and wrote its three seasons, made his directing debut alongside Andrea De Sica and Letizia Lamartire in the final season.
The latest season also brings in Antonio Orlando as Pietro, Ludovico Succio as Alessandro, and Anna Lou Castoldi as Aurora.
