Synopsis of Condor

Joe Turner is a young CIA analyst who wants to reform the agency from within. His idealism is put to the test when he uncovers a terrible and brilliant plan: the CIA has long been using an algorithm, created to spy on American citizens, in an operation that threatens the lives of millions. The story is set in Washington, D.C., and follows Joe as he tries to understand how far this conspiracy reaches inside the organization itself. Max Irons plays Joe, and William Hurt plays Bob, the uncle who recruited him into the agency. Created by Jason Smilovic, Todd Katzberg, and Ken Robinson, the series streams on Audience.

Trivia about Condor

On May 30, 2017, Toronto Star columnist Jack Lakey contacted the city's film liaison office after the crew allegedly intimidated neighbors.

In January 2020, Audience announced it would stop operating in its current format, although the second season had already been filmed.

In December 2020, Epix brought back the two existing seasons, and the second began premiering on November 7, 2021.

Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 86% approval rating and an average of 6.67 out of 10 based on 14 reviews.

At the Austin festival, attendees could take part in activities that mimicked those of the CIA, such as skills tests and lie detection.

Max Irons and Katherine Cunningham play characters equivalent to those of Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway in the film "Three Days of the Condor" (1975), an adaptation related to the series.

"Condor" received three nominations in total, although the sources consulted do not specify the categories or the corresponding awards here.

Epix renewed "Condor" for a third season in 2022, but the project never materialized following the service's acquisition and subsequent rebranding.
