Synopsis of Inspector Rex
In Vienna, a homicide squad from the Austrian Criminal Police works with a team of three men and a German Shepherd named Rex. The dog is no office pet: he tracks corpses, detects drugs and smuggling, and acts as an extra pair of eyes and ears for his colleagues. Together they investigate murders in the Austrian capital, where every case calls for gathering clues, questioning suspects and finding the truth before the culprit escapes. Created by Peter Hajek and Peter Moser and aired on ORF 1, the series blends police procedural with the daily routine of a dog who knows more than he seems.
«A rare hound, no bones about it!»
