What Season 19 of Law & Order

Season 19 of Law & Order keeps the New York formula, with each episode split into two halves. In the first, homicide detectives, such as Sergeant Max Greevey and Detective Mike Logan, follow the leads until they arrest a suspect. In the second, Manhattan prosecutors prepare the charges and take the case to court. Among those driving the season are Assistant District Attorney Jack McCoy, played by Sam Waterston, and Detectives Cyrus Lupo and Kevin Bernard, played by Jeremy Sisto and Anthony Anderson. The clash between McCoy and Assistant District Attorney Michael Cutter drives some storylines, while the investigations touch on politics, immigration, and mental health. The series moves case by case and rarely dwells on its main characters' private lives.
