What Season 16 of Law & Order

Season 16 of Law & Order follows the show's usual formula. Detectives Fontana and Green investigate cases on the street, ranging from failed holdups to baby kidnappings. Then, Manhattan prosecutors, led by A.D.A. Jack McCoy, build the case and bring the evidence before a court. The episodes raise moral dilemmas: a mother who confronts her teenage son, a family divided over the fate of a critically injured woman, or a military contractor caught up in a politically charged case. Van Buren also takes center stage in some stories. The series moves case by case and barely dwells on the private lives of its celebrities.
