Synopsis of The Barrier
The Barrier is set in Spain in 2045, two decades after a third world war that left the country exposed to radiation, disease and an extreme shortage of basic goods. A despotic government has imposed martial law. Madrid is split in two sectors separated by a wall: Sector 1 holds power and the privileged, while Sector 2 houses the rest of the population, the middle and lower classes. The only way to cross from one side to the other is through the fence that divides them. Olivia Molina, Unax Ugalde and Eleonora Wexler lead the cast of this Atresmedia production for Antena 3, in a world where surviving each day shapes the lives of its inhabitants.
