Trivia about Vagabond

The overseas filming took place in Tangier and the medina of Morocco, and some scenes were shot in the desert and in Portugal.

Lee Seung-gi and Bae Suzy had already co-starred in Gu Family Book in 2013, before sharing the cast of this series.

This is the fourth collaboration between screenwriters Jang Young-chul and Jung Kyung-soon and director Yoo In-shik, following Giant, History of a Salaryman and Incarnation of Money.

It was originally scheduled to air at the end of 2018, but was delayed until May 2019, and then postponed again due to scheduling issues during filming and a pending agreement with Netflix.

Lee Seung-gi and Bae Suzy won the awards for Best Actor and Best Actress in a Miniseries at the 2019 SBS Drama Awards, and also took home the Best Couple award for their work on the series.

The production was fully shot before it aired; the first script reading took place on June 2, 2018, and filming began that same month.

In November 2019, Celltrion Entertainment confirmed that the series had been conceived with a second season in mind, but that it was not yet approved and depended on the schedules of the cast, writers and director.
