Bolivia, twenty years after 1908. An elderly man lives in a remote village under the name James Blackthorn. He makes a living raising horses and leads a solitary life, far from everything he once was. When news of Etta Place's death arrives, he decides to end his long exile and return to the United States. Before leaving, he writes to his son Ryan to let him know his intentions. But first he must take his horses to Potosí to sell them, and before setting out on the journey he has to say goodbye to Yana, the woman he shares his life with. The film is directed by Mateo Gil and stars Sam Shepard, who brings this aging outlaw to life.
