Hearts in Atlantis

The past unexpectedly intrudes on the life of photographer Bobby Garfield when he learns of the death of a childhood friend. He returns to his hometown and recalls a summer from his childhood, spent with Carol and Sully, his best friends, which was marked by the arrival of Ted Brautigan, a stranger who rented an apartment in the house where Bobby lived with his obsessive mother. Ted, a mysterious man who fascinates and unsettles Bobby, offers him a job: to read the newspaper to him, since his eyesight is very weak, but above all to serve as a lookout to protect Ted from the grave danger that lurks over him.
