Hush

Maddie Young is a horror novelist who lost her hearing and speech after an illness in her teens. She decides to move away from the city and settles into an isolated country house in the middle of the woods to finish her new book. There she lives alone, surrounded by silence, and her days revolve around writing, cooking and occasional visits from her neighbor. While everything seems normal, the distance from anyone else becomes the problem, because there is no one nearby in the house who can come to her aid if a dangerous situation arises. The movie is directed by Mike Flanagan and stars Kate Siegel, who also co-wrote the screenplay with the director.
