Jason, Daniel, and Mickey are three high school friends living in New York. Jason is sitting on a city bench, waiting for someone, and his voiceover reveals that he has been there for a long time. To explain why, he decides to go back to the beginning. According to him, every relationship eventually reaches the "So…" moment, when one of the two wants to take it into more serious territory. None of the three is clear about what they want from their love lives. Tom Gormican directs this comedy in his feature directorial debut, with Zac Efron, Miles Teller, and Michael B. Jordan in the cast.

Zac Efron was the first cast member announced, in August 2012, and filming in New York was announced for November of that same year.
