Trivia about Bloodhounds

The series is based on a popular webtoon of the same name by Jeong Chan. Netflix confirmed the production in November 2021, and it was the first series by its director.

Netflix replaced Kim Sae-ron with Jung Da-eun after the actress was injured in a car accident in 2022, even though most of her scenes had already been shot.

According to Netflix, as of July 2, 2023, the series had spent four weeks among the platform's top ten most-watched non-English-language shows worldwide.

Wired Italia highlights the choreography of the action scenes, with boxing matches, gang clashes and bladed weapon duels.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, 89% of the nine reviews collected are positive, with an average rating of 7.6/10.

In January 2025, Netflix confirmed a second season, with Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi returning to their roles and Kim Joo-hwan directing.

Rain joined the second season as the villain Im Baek-jeong, his first antagonist role after twenty years as an actor.

The second season premiered on April 3, 2026, and expanded the conflict to an underground international boxing league.
