What Season 9 of NYPD Blue

Season 9 opens with detectives John Kelly and Andy Sipowicz leading the team at the 15th Precinct in Manhattan. Sipowicz keeps drinking both on the job and off duty, and his behavior suggests the partnership won't last long. Kelly genuinely cares about him, but it gets harder and harder for him to put up with it. On the personal front, Sipowicz separates from Laura and begins a relationship with uniformed officer Janice Licalsi, whose father, also a cop, is on Angelo Marino's payroll. Meanwhile, the team welcomes new members: John Clark Jr., who tries to find his footing in his father's shadow, and Eddie Gibson, transferring from the night shift.
