What Season 4 of NYPD Blue

The season opens with John Kelly and Andy Sipowicz leading their partnership at the 15th Precinct in Manhattan. Sipowicz, the veteran partner, drinks both on the job and off duty, and his behavior makes it doubtful the partnership will last. Kelly genuinely cares for him, but his patience is wearing thin. Sipowicz's personal life offers no relief either: he reluctantly divorces Laura and starts a relationship with Janice Licalsi, a uniformed officer whose father, also a cop, is on the payroll of crime boss Angelo Marino. The squad's cases, with Simone and Russell among the main characters, round out the picture.
