What Season 10 of NYPD Blue

The season opens with detectives John Kelly and Andy Sipowicz working together out of the 15th Precinct in Manhattan. Sipowicz is the veteran of the duo, but alcohol follows him both on the job and off duty, and his behavior raises doubts that the partnership will survive much longer. Kelly feels a sincere fondness for him, though his patience gradually runs out. Sipowicz's personal life offers no relief either: he reluctantly separates from Laura and begins a relationship with Janice Licalsi, a uniformed officer whose father, also a cop, is on the payroll of mob boss Angelo Marino. The cases expose the habits of district officers and strain relations between patrol officers and detectives.
