Synopsis of Stairway to Heaven

Stairway to Heaven is a South Korean series broadcast on SBS, directed by Lee Jang-soo and set in Seoul. Jung-suh and Song-joo have been friends since childhood, and over time their bond grows into a sincere love. The two share a similar wound: Song-joo's father died in a car accident, and Jung-suh's mother lost her life to eye cancer. Their calm is shattered when Jung-suh's father marries actress Tae Mi-ra, who moves into the house with her children, Yu-ri and Tae-hwa. Yu-ri is jealous of the life Jung-suh has had and wastes no time portraying her to their mother as a bad person, until the mother begins to hate her. The conflict is fueled by the rivalry between the two stepsisters and by a love neither of them wants to lose.

«A heartbreaking love story between four men and women that can only be called fate.»
