Synopsis of The Boondocks
The Boondocks follows the Freeman family, made up of the African American brothers Huey and Riley. Their grandfather, Robert Freeman, moves them to Woodcrest, a fictional suburb near Chicago where the vast majority of residents are white. There, the boys must adapt to a community that does not share their culture, lifestyle or way of understanding race and social class. This mix of identities drives the satire, comedy and conflicts of the series, an adult animated comedy. Created by Aaron McGruder and aired on Adult Swim, its main cast includes Regina King and John Witherspoon.
«Satire, chaos, and black humor.»
