Trivia about We Are Who We Are

The U.S. Department of Defense withdrew all of its support after initially offering it. According to Guadagnino, he would have preferred that the series never be made.

Filming was scheduled to begin in late May 2019 in Italy, with production planned through October, but it started in late July.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has a 90% approval rating based on 41 reviews, with an average rating of 8.4/10.

Matt Roush of TV Guide feels the series wants to be as shocking as Euphoria but quickly becomes monotonous.
