Aliens

Ellen Ripley, a flight officer, is the sole survivor of the crew of the Nostromo. After escaping the ship, she is picked up adrift and taken to a space station orbiting Earth. There she is questioned by Carter Burke, a representative of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, who tells her that she has spent 57 years in hypersleep. Ripley recounts what happened on board, but her employers doubt her story and the existence of alien eggs on an abandoned ship. When communication is lost with a human colony on the moon where the first encounter took place, Ripley agrees to return there with a unit of colonial marines to investigate. Directed by James Cameron and starring Sigourney Weaver, the film opens with a woman who has to convince everyone of a danger she already knows all too well.
