Synopsis of Millennium

Frank Black is a former FBI agent who now works as a consultant for the Millennium group. Together with his wife Catherine and their daughter Jordan, he arrives in Seattle looking for a quiet life, far from the work that has scarred him. But the calm doesn't last long: a stalker threatens to endanger his family. Frank is drawn into the Seattle Police Department, which is investigating a series of murders committed by a person who leaves poems in French. Frank has an uncommon gift: disturbing visions that let him step into the minds of serial killers. As he tries to unravel these crimes, he must decide how far he is willing to go to protect his loved ones.

«We don't want to scare you. We want to terrify you.»

Trivia about Millennium

Fox gave Carter a budget of nearly $1.5 million per episode and let him create his own look for the series.
Fox considered William Hurt for the lead role before learning that he had no interest in acting for television.
Carter, who had tried to recruit Henriksen for The X-Files, wrote him a personal note that a fan slipped under his hotel door in Vancouver.
The pilot episode was watched by 17.72 million viewers in the United States. The season two premiere drew 7.75 million.
After the cancellation, the FX network bought the rerun rights to the series for between $20 and $25 million.
In 2018, Rotten Tomatoes ranked Millennium No. 87 on its list of the 100 greatest science fiction series of all time.
Brittany Tiplady became the most nominated performer in the history of the series, and Lance Henriksen was the only cast member nominated for a Golden Globe.
Chris Carter was given a full month to shoot the pilot episode, with little or no interference from FOX, an exceptional concession for a new series.
