Murder on the Orient Express

Year 1934. Belgian detective Hercule Poirot has just solved a theft at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and only wants to rest. Obsessive and a lover of order, he seeks balance in his life and considers his ability to spot a lie hidden within the truth more of a burden than a gift. He plans to spend a few days in Istanbul, but must return to London to handle another case. His friend Bouc, director of the Orient Express service, arranges a berth for him aboard the train running the Simplon route. Poirot boards the convoy intending to reach the British capital. Kenneth Branagh directs the film and also plays Poirot, alongside Tom Bateman as Bouc.
