Eragon

In the legendary kingdom of Alagaësia, war is brewing. The Riders, who protected the peace of the Empire and were the only ones able to control the intelligent dragons, have been wiped out or have joined the ranks of the wicked King Galbatorix. The elves went into hiding long ago, and the Varden, a dissident group, hide in fortified cities. When Eragon, a 15-year-old boy who lives in a small village, finds a precious stone in the forest where he went hunting, little does he expect that this event will change his life and the fate of Alagaësia. All he wants is to sell it to secure his family's survival through the harsh winter. However, one night the gem breaks, and what emerges from it sends him on a journey that will make him a hero. Can Eragon take on the responsibility of the legendary dragon riders? The hope of the Empire rests in his hands...
