One week after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Jacqueline Kennedy is living at her home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. She is still mourning her husband, and the days pass slowly between visits and silences. A journalist arrives to interview her about Kennedy's legacy, expecting a simple conversation of the kind used to write a kindly obituary. Jackie agrees to talk, but it soon becomes clear that she has her own ideas about how her husband should be remembered and which parts of the story she would rather keep silent. Directed by Pablo Larraín and starring Natalie Portman, the film begins in that house, with the interview as its starting point and the weight of the tragedy still very present.
