Poseidon

In the North Atlantic, aboard the luxurious ocean liner Poseidon (twenty decks, thirteen levels), New Year's Eve celebrations are underway. Meanwhile, a colossal thirty-meter wave is heading toward the ship at high speed. Attempts to steer the vessel away and avoid the collision are futile. The wave slams into the ship with colossal force and capsizes it. Passengers and crew members are thrown from great heights, landing among the wreckage or plunging into the sea. After the spectacular and dramatic capsizing, gas pipes rupture and spew fire, and the electrical system fails, leaving large sections of the ship submerged in darkness and chaos.
