The First Time

Dave Hodgman is in his last year of high school and spends most of his time keeping an eye on his best friend, Jane Harmon, with whom he's in love. He attends a party with a couple of friends, but steps away for a moment to rehearse out loud the confession he wants to make to her. While he does, someone catches him off guard. It's Aubrey Miller, a talkative, blunt girl from another high school who is dating an older boyfriend. Ronny, that boyfriend, barely understands her and doesn't seem to care much about what she thinks. The conversation between Dave and Aubrey starts casually, but he soon realizes that talking to her comes surprisingly easily. Directed by Jonathan Kasdan, the film stars Dylan O'Brien and Britt Robertson.
