Trivia about Teen Wolf

The project grew out of the idea of paying tribute to Stand by Me, the film in which a group of boys go searching for a corpse in the woods.

Davis wanted a darker, sexier, and riskier version than the 1985 film, with a tone similar to 1987's The Lost Boys.

The episodes feature music by composer Dino Meneghin.

Starting with the second season, the opening credits were completely changed to a longer format, with the main cast performing an action alongside their actor names.

The premiere drew a total of 2.17 million viewers.

Jeff Davis said the series had a very large online audience, with up to eight million views per episode on MTV's online platforms alone.

The series won thirteen Teen Choice Awards, nine of them for the performances of Posey, O'Brien, Hoechlin, Roden, and Hennig.

The series won three Saturn Awards for Best Network Television Series aimed at young audiences.
