Synopsis of Golden Time

Tada Banri enrolls at a private law school in Tokyo and, after the welcome ceremony, gets lost around the campus. There he runs into Mitsuo Yanagisawa, another new student who doesn't know where to go either. Their conversation comes to an abrupt halt when Koko Kaga, an elegant young woman, smacks a bouquet of roses right in Mitsuo's face. She is his childhood friend, and as kids they had agreed to get married someday. Mitsuo, who wants to get out of that engagement, secretly sat the entrance exam for the same university. However, Koko turns up there too, and the episode sets up how her presence will affect his new college life. The series aired on MBS.

Trivia about Golden Time

The animated adaptation was announced in March 2013 during the Game no Dengeki Kanshasai event, before its broadcast was confirmed later that same year.
Yui Horie, who voices Kōko Kaga, sings the four opening and ending songs of the series: "Golden Time", "Sweet & Sweet Cherry", "The World's End" and "Love Me Temporarily".
The bridge where Banri lost his memory is based on Hōrai Bridge in Shimada, Shizuoka, a wooden structure built in 1879 and 897 meters long.
The series ran for 24 episodes and featured Makoto Furukawa and Mike Haimoto as the voices of Banri Tada in their respective language versions.
The series was produced by J.C. Staff, with Chiaki Kon as director, and was animated based on the light novels by Yuyuko Takemiya, author of Toradora!.
