Hell or High Water

Toby Howard is a divorced father living in West Texas, where his family runs a cattle ranch. His brother Tanner has just been released from prison, and together with Toby he begins planning a series of robberies at branches of Texas Midlands Bank. Their mother has died after a long illness and leaves the ranch in debt due to a reverse mortgage granted by that same bank. If the debt is not paid, the property will be foreclosed. Toby plans each heist carefully, but Tanner’s reckless temperament leads him to take unnecessary risks and tests his brother’s patience. The film is directed by David Mackenzie and stars Chris Pine and Ben Foster.
