Serenity

Twenty-Sixth Century. After winning the Civil War, the two great world powers, the U.S. and China, join forces to form a totalitarian government called the Union of Allied Planets. Captain Malcolm Reynolds is a battle-hardened war veteran who makes a living by renting out his ship, the Serenity, and taking on outlaw jobs. His only family is a small, loyal crew of dissidents and rebels. When Malcolm takes on two new passengers, a doctor and his unstable sister, who has telepathic powers, he quickly discovers that both are fugitives from the Alliance and that it will not stop until it finds the girl. Indeed, the crew of the Serenity finds itself caught between the powerful Alliance military and the Reavers, savage barbarians who roam the edges of space. As things unfold, they start to realize that the greatest danger may be on board the Serenity.
