Face your past. Choose your future.

Mark Renton is 46 years old and lives in Amsterdam. He has been clean from heroin for two decades, but his marriage falls apart, and at work he is told he is about to lose his job. After suffering a heart attack at a gym, he decides to return to Edinburgh, the city he left twenty years ago. His goal is to get his life in order and reconnect with Spud and Sick Boy, the friends he shared his darkest years with. Shortly after arriving, he learns that Franco Begbie has just escaped from prison, and the reunion with his old mates starts to go off the rails.

Trivia about T2 Trainspotting

According to English Wikipedia, principal photography began on March 10, 2016 in Edinburgh, when it had originally been scheduled for May of that year.
An earlier script, reportedly written about ten years before, was scrapped so the original cast would agree to return for the sequel.
In the United Kingdom, the film grossed 17.1 million pounds, or about 21.7 million dollars, according to figures reported by the source.
Boyle ruled out calling a possible film centered on Begbie, based on the novel The Blade Artist, T3, because the other characters would barely appear.
