In 1943, the Allies advance against the Axis powers in Italy. Lieutenant Frank Stokes warns President Roosevelt that victory means nothing if the great artistic treasures of Western civilization are lost. His proposal leads to him being tasked with forming an army unit made up of museum directors, curators, art historians and an architect. This is how the «The Monuments Men» group is born, tasked with guiding the Allied units in the search for stolen works to return them to their rightful owners. Directed by George Clooney, the film stars Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin and Cate Blanchett, among others.
