The Sisters Brothers

In the Oregon of the gold rush, Charlie and Eli Sisters are two hired guns who have made killing their trade. Charlie, the younger one, accepts it without hesitation. Eli, on the other hand, dreams of leaving that life behind and living a peaceful existence. Both work for a man everyone calls the Commodore, who sends them to Sacramento, California, to eliminate Hermann Kermit Warm, a chemist who has devised a method for finding gold with almost no effort. The brothers set out with a clear mission, but the job proves less simple than they expected. Directed by Jacques Audiard, the film stars John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix in a Western that blends violence and dark humor.
