Transcendence

Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp), a renowned researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence, is working on creating a sentient machine that combines collective intelligence with human emotions. His controversial experiments have made him famous, but they have also made him the main target of anti-technology extremists. His wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and Max, his best friend (Paul Bettany), are his collaborators, but they face the moral question of whether they should build that machine. When Will is the victim of an attack, Evelyn and he make a radical decision with unpredictable consequences.
