Synopsis of POSE
New York, 1987. Blanca Rodríguez-Evangelista has just left the House of Abundance to found the House of Evangelista, one of the Houses that make up New York's LGBTQ+ Black and Latino ballroom culture. Pray Tell, the most prominent master of ceremonies at these balls, mentors the members of the new family. Damon, a homeless and highly talented dancer, is the house's first member. The characters compete for trophies and recognition in this underground scene and support one another within their networks of chosen families. Meanwhile, the rise of the yuppie scene sets the pace of the city. The series, created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Steven Canals, airs on FX and stars MJ Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson and Billy Porter.
