What Season 6 of House
House begins the season far from the diagnostics room, admitted to Mayfield Psychiatric Hospital to kick his Vicodin addiction and get his hallucinations under control. From there, he tries to get out as soon as possible. He searches for information he can use to blackmail Dr. Nolan and turns to Alvie and Lydia for his schemes. Meanwhile, his colleagues face the hospital's problems, moral dilemmas and their relationships with him. Cuddy, Wilson and the team have to press on without House, and when he returns, he's more stubborn than ever.

When an old friend and former patient of Wilson’s exhibits paralysis in his right arm, Wilson puts himself on the case. With the help of the team, Wilson works to diagnose the patient more optimistic results, but when things take a turn for the worse, Wilson must address his inability to separate patient from friend. Meanwhile, Cuddy seeks advice in her search for real estate.

This episode is one of the show's rare instances when no medical mystery is presented, though House still deals with his "patient of the week".
