Trivia about Sailor Moon Crystal

Director Chiaki Kon had not read the manga when she began directing the third season. She had only watched the 1990s anime as a child, and she read the manga while working on the series.
The first episode surpassed one million viewers on Niconico during its first two days of streaming.
Rocío Garcel recorded the first four episodes as Luna for the Latin American dub, but her voice was not used and those episodes were re-recorded by Irene Jiménez.
The first two seasons drew criticism for their overly fast pacing and animation with visible errors.
Netflix announced in June 2021 that the series would arrive on its platform on July 1 of that same year.
Crystal was the first series in the franchise to air in Italy on channels other than Mediaset, such as Rai Gulp.
The production considered roughly one hundred titles for the new series before Naoko Takeuchi chose "Crystal." The anime was planned as a fresh adaptation of the manga, not a remake of the earlier version.
The second season was confirmed in November 2014 to adapt the Black Moon arc, and its new voice cast was announced during a special screening held on December 27 of that year.
