What Season 5 of Star Trek: Lower Decks
Season 5 puts the crew of the USS Cerritos up against a classic Starfleet problem: closing "space holes," subspace rifts that wreak havoc in the Alpha Quadrant. On paper, the job seems simple for the lower-deck ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, and Rutherford. However, the routine gets complicated with an Orion war, furious Klingons, diplomatic disasters, and a murder mystery. On top of that, each of them has to think about their own career.
