Synopsis of Psycho-Pass

In a near-future Japan, the Sibyl System instantly measures the mental state of every citizen using a psychosomatic scanner. The result is the Psycho-Pass, a number tied to a color that reflects the likelihood that a person will commit a crime. When a person's Crime Coefficient is too high, they can be pursued and detained with lethal force. Akane Tsunemori is a rookie inspector assigned to Division One of the Public Security Bureau, where she investigates crimes alongside Enforcers, latent criminals who protect the inspectors and follow their orders. Both carry Dominators, weapons that display the target's Psycho-Pass. Written by Gen Urobuchi, the series airs in Fuji TV's noitaminA block.

Trivia about Psycho-Pass

Motohiro proposed that he and Urobuchi work together in early 2011, after being fascinated by Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Shiotani asked Egoist to record three versions of the ending theme so they could be alternated depending on how each episode ended.
The original soundtrack, released by Sony Music Entertainment on May 29, 2013, includes fifty-five tracks composed by Kanno.
For the final episode, more than 1,000 people lined up to watch the finale, even though the venue only admitted seventy.
At the 2013 Newtype Anime Awards, the series was voted the fourth best of the year.
Using the term moe was banned at team meetings, which admired dramas such as Mobile Suit Gundam and Patlabor.
In August 2022, the franchise announced the production of the anime film "PSYCHO-PASS Providence" as a project for its tenth anniversary, with Naoyoshi Shiotani returning as director at Production I.G.
"Psycho-Pass" had a spin-off project spanning three films, titled "Sinners of the System," which Fuji TV presented in 2018, with releases scheduled starting January 2019.
