W

Oh Yeon-joo is a second-year cardiothoracic surgeon at Myungse Hospital in Seoul. Her father, Oh Seong-moo, mysteriously disappears after finishing the last chapter of his webtoon W, so she goes to his studio to look for him. There, a hand emerges from the computer screen and drags her to the rooftop of a building, next to a bloodied man. Yeon-joo saves his life and discovers that he is Kang Cheol, the protagonist of her father's work. He is a wealthy man, vice president of JN Global, the company that owns the W television channel, and also an Olympic medalist in shooting. What begins as a rescue becomes an impossible love story, because she does not exist in Cheol's reality, and he does not exist in hers. The series, created by Song Jae-jung, airs on MBC and stars Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-joo.
